|Exhibit:||Re Visioning Toronto Island Airport:
Architectural Instincts and Imagination
|When:||September 17 – October 30, 2013|
Urbanspace Gallery, 401 Richmond Street West, Toronto, ON
Showcasing the work of third year architecture students at the University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture, this exhibit explores ideas to re-imagine the Toronto Island Airport. Students were asked to imagine a new future for the Airport as one of the City of Toronto’s public spaces. The projects reveal a place that is open to change, always learning and adapting, becoming more beautiful, and more relevant to her citizens.
This exhibit is presented by Urbanspace Gallery and is sponsored by the Centre for City Ecology. Special thanks to University of Waterloo School of Architecture and Victoria Taylor Landscape Architect
